Kim Hyun Joong’s Lucky Guy concept was inspired by Ocean’s Eleven

SS501’s 4D leader, Kim Hyun Joong, recently revealed his 2nd mini-album, Lucky Guy, and this new mini-album revolves around what seems to be a casino, lucky theme.

Kim Hyun Joong took the time to sit down with reporters and explained the concept for “Lucky Guy” was. He explained, “‘Breakdown’ was a very powerful track, whereas ‘Lucky Guy’ is more of an upbeat song that I will be able to enjoy with fans… The concept this time around was inspired by the movie ‘Ocean’s Eleven’. This music video was shot with a gambler concept, but although the background and atmosphere makes it seem like it’s in a casino, in reality, I’ll be playing Blue Marble.” For those of you who don’t know, Blue Marble is the Korean version of Monopoly.

As he currently holds the title for most number of albums sold for soloists, he expressed his hopes that his second mini-album will be just as loved. And seeing how “Breakdown” sold 110,000 copies, he joked that he wants to sell 220,000 copies for his 2nd mini-album.

He will be making his return to the stage on next week’s M! Countdown and promote for about 3 weeks.

KARA’s full PV for Winter Magic revealed!

After their great success in Korea with “Step”, KARA has returned to Japan for their newest single titled “Winter Magic”. And after the recent teasers, they have finally released the full PV!

In the PV, the girls are seen in a beautiful, completely-white world (Leeteuk would be pretty happy), while sweetly thinking of their loved one (probably). And with their sweet but strong vocals, the PV is sure a beautiful one to watch, especially with the girls’ gorgeous figures.

Personally, this is so far my “song for winter 2011″, (the same way f(x)’s “Hot Summer” was for summer). The girls look super gorgeous in the video (Seungyeon with the scarf :P), and it’s just too magical to be true.

Narsha Tends to Break up with Boyfriends during Christmas

One of the latest ‘Strong Heart‘ episodes allowed Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha to open up about her past relationships. Her story was named, ‘Around Christmas time…’, which made sense after she told her tale of woe.

Narsha started by saying that she always seems to break up with her boyfriend at Christmas time. She stated, “When I was 23, I was seeing a younger guy and we were doing well, when he suddenly wanted to break up around Winter… I acted like I wasn’t phased by it at all, and I told him it was a nice Christmas gift.”

A year after they broke up, Narsha met another man. He was an attractive guy standing near the bus stop, but due to Narsha’s sudden shyness, she couldn’t approach him and rode a completely different bus.

However, a while later, she went to a bar for a job interview and noticed another good-looking man. She then realized it was the same guy from the bust stop. She explained, “I thought it was fate and I decided to take a chance. Long story short, we connected and started dating.”

She carried on, stating, “Everything was going so well in the beginning… But there was one time when we both went to an internet cafe. My boyfriend got a text from a friend who was sick, and he wanted to assist this friend… I told him to go, but that was my biggest mistake. He was never the same after that.”

She found out from one of her friends that her boyfriend was a player and actually had a girlfriend with whom he was living, while dating poor Narsha.

“He was cheating on her with me,” she said. “I was so young back then, and I was so shocked. I had to see this for myself, and I went to go see his place… I thought my boyfriend would come out, but the girl did. They even had a dog together.” Due to this tragic situation, Narsha had to say goodbye to yet another boyfriend during the festive season.

Kara dishes advice on how to lose weight

Ever wanted to know how K-POP stars stay so thin? I do! Well now you can. The girls of KARA have revealed the secrets to their diets. On the episode of SBS’s ‘Good Sunday-Victory‘ that was aired on the 9th, KARA gave their advice to all those that were trying to lose weight.

When asked about their secrets for diets, each member had their own answers. Seungyeon stated, “We usually eat well, but we don’t gain weight by how much we eat. Instead, it sticks to under our face. If we start to gain weight, we run on the treadmill and jump rope. Since we are dancers and singers, we sing loudly while running on the treadmill.”

Gyuri also stated, “The best thing is to exercise as much as you eat.” When questioned about her exercise routine, she answered, “When I do aerobic exercises, I bike for one hour and run for one to two hours, and when I want to develop my muscular strength, I exercise even more.”

Goo Hara, who’s famous for being skinny, revelaled, “I don’t do aerobic exercies, I only do muscular exercies.”

The member who’s been on the most diets out of all the members, Nicole, revealed that she was currently doing pilates.

Top 10 KPOP Idol Sleeping Habits

When you’re living with an idol group, there are no secrets - sleeping ones included! Let us now have a good laugh, or “Aww!” at the top 10 weirdest, cutest, funniest sleeping habits of the idols we love! Some of them are weird, some of them are cute, and some of them are just plain… well, you’ll find out!

Now without further ado, let us dive into the one and only place Idols have their privacy (although, not so much anymore) - their sleep!

10th place - Lee Joon of Mblaq.

Lee Joon’s special habit managed to snag him 10th place in “Top 10 Sleeping Habits of the Idols We Love” with his ability to pass out wherever he is! The members revealed that Joon can fall asleep no matter where he is - even in places you wouldn’t normally be in. The list includes the floor, the stage, the closet, and the place I found most amusing, the bathtub! Just imagine stumbling into the bathroom for an early morning pee to find Joon snoozing to his heart’s desire in your bath tub.

9th Place - Kangin of Super Junior.

Kangin’s sleeping habit is definitely one that would scare the pants off people. It’s been revealed that during his sleep, he tends to act out any of the violent/bad scenes. His screams have consisted of “Do you want to die?!”, “You! Stop there!”, and more. I wonder if he’s supposed to be the bad guy, or the good guy in his dreams.

8th Place - Max Changmin of TVXQ.

Changmin actually never had sleeping habits before, but due to stress from the group (when is was still the 5 of them) schedules in Japan, he soon developed them. Apparently, you can now hold conversations with Changmin while he’s still in the depths of his sleep. The members revealed past conversations that consisted of asking Changmin what he wanted to eat (which he answered with ramen), to him asking others what people use to eat (chop sticks.) It’s also been revealed that Changmin kicks in his sleep, something that I can relate to as well!

7th Place - U-know Yunho of TVXQ

Sweet revenge! Seeing as how Yunho was the one to reveal Changmin’s weird habits, it’s only fair that his own are revealed too! The weird sleeping habit of Yunho’s that managed to earn him 7th place is the fact that he sleeps with his eyes and mouth wide open! He even said himself on “Come To Play” that when he sleeps, it seems that every opening on his face widens! You know the famous statistic, “Human beings eat up to 8 spiders a year in their sleep”? Well, I’m sure Yunho would have increase that average! *shudder shudder*

6th Place - Yang Yoseob and Yong Junhyung of B2ST

The two members not only display wonderful partnership on stage, but in their sleep as well! The two members of B2st both share the spotlight of 6th place, because without each other, their sleeping habits wouldn’t be that great. Introducing, the musical duo! It’s been reported that Junhyung raps in his sleep, while Yoseob beat boxes in his sleep. Combine them together, and we could have a new hit song to put into a B2ST album! I hope one day the members shove them together while sleeping to record the melody!

5th Place - Lee Taemin of SHINee, and Shin Dong-hee of Super Junior.

Now, these two idols aren’t members of the same band (although they are both apart of the same company), but they’re both members of the “I take off my clothes while sleeping” group! That’s right, the sexy Maknae of SHINee, and the comedy genius of Super Junior both share the common sleeping habit of stripping themselves in their sleep. Imagine being Jonghyun or Key (Although that would be wonderful already~) and walking into a room half dead to wake up your sleeping Maknae, only to find him butt naked, and flaunting a Taemin. That would be heaven.

4th Place - Victoria Song of F(X)

Although we have no idea whether or not it’s a “habit”, it’s definitely one of the weirdest things out there! While on a TV show, Sulli revealed a situation she experienced with fellow member, Victoria. “One morning, I was getting ready to go to school when I came across Victoria and became really shocked. She was sleeping with her head on the floor and her legs on the bed, and even with her eyes open! Scared, I asked her if she was sleeping, but she gave me no response and just kept sleeping.”
That’s definitely not the most lady-like position, but it’s a good enough position to have won Victoria 4th place on “Top 10 Sleeping Habits of the Idols We Love!”

3rd Place - Kang Jiyoung of Kara.

This sleeping habit of Jiyoung is definitely enough to have her fellow members locking up their doors. Apparently, Jiyoung is a sleep walker, and that’s not even the worst part. Not only does Jiyoung strut her stuff unconsciously across the dorms, but she also finds herself waking in the beds of the other members! And what’s even creepier is that the members don’t realize it until they wake up in the morning to be met by Jiyoung’s morning breath! This is definitely a habit creepy enough to deserve 3rd place.

2nd Place - Bae Suzy of Miss A.

One would think that the feminine Suzy of Miss A would be a peaceful sleeper, yeah, well one would be wrong. Suzy is definitely not even close to being a peaceful sleeper - she’s a screamer. And a laugher, a texter, an eater, and whatever else she does in her dreams. Suzy’s special sleeping habit, is that whatever she does in her dream, she’ll reenact in real life! Whether it’s crying or screaming, laughing or eating, whatever is done in her dream is what will be done in real life. …

1st Place - Kim Taeyeon of SNSD.
It’s not one sleeping habit that scored Taeyeon first place, but several. The members of SNSD evilly revealed the many weird sleeping habits of the leader. The list consists of sleep talking, sleep walking, sleeping with her eyes open, and finally my personal favorite - yoga positions (like the one she’s doing in the picture above.) Taeyeon is definitely the queen of sleeping habits with all her special traits, and deserves the title of being 1st place in “Top 10 sleeping Habits of the Idols We Love!”

Honorable Mention - Choi Minho Of SHINee.

Although this isn’t a sleeping habit, it’s definitely an amusing feat concerning the subject of “sleep.” Many of us sleep the hours away during summer vacation. Usually the number of hours go as high as 12, or 13, but how many of us can claim up to 48 hours? Yeah, well, Minho can!

Wheesung Reveals a Dramatic MV for He is Coming

Earlier today, Wheesung released his final mini-album, “He is Coming” before he enlists in the army. Now he has revealed the MV for his title track.

The MV for “He is Coming” combines a dramatic story line with Wheesung’s dancing and solo shots. With that combination, I think it is definitely a perfect MV to end on before his enlistment.

Wonder Girls flying back to Korea, will have ‘pop concept’ for comeback

The Wonder Girls haven’t been seen on the KPOP music scene ever since their “2 Different Tears” promotion last year for a short three weeks. They have been busily filming for their movie “The Wonder Girls at the Apollo”, but it has been revealed that the girls have plans to return back to their homeland this week!

A representative confirmed this, commenting, “The Wonder Girls are currently spending busy days filming for their TV movie, ‘The Wonder Girls at the Apollo‘. If there aren’t any additional schedules to be added, they will be returning to Korea within the weekend and begin preparations for their comeback.”

The girls’ comeback comes at a time where the big girl group names are making comebacks as well, proving that this fall will indeed be an epic one indeed. The Wonder Girls will be facing stiff competition from the likes of SNSD, T-ara, SECRET, IU, Orange Caramel, and Brown Eyed Girls. In order to stand out from the group, the girls will be producing a concept that will be different from their beloved retro concepts.

The same representative also said, “The album will be produced in a movie OST format. We’ll be planning our concept to fit around the feel of the song, so as opposed to retro, we feel that it will be more pop. The Wonder Girls will definitely be coming out with a new image, so please look forward to it.”

A movie OST format? That surely is a new idea. I wonder how that will turn out. I’m definitely anticipating their pop concept and see how that matches up against the other groups!

Goo Hara can’t put on weight easily, no one relates

A new SBS series entitled ‘Star Survival Victory’ will air its first episode on the 9th of October. The program lets contestants challenge themselves to perfectly copy the dances of their favorite idol stars, while getting a great workout at the same time.

Contestants will be learning dances from groups such as Super Junior, SNSD, 2PM, KARA, and many others. Not only will they enjoy dancing to their favorite songs, but viewers will also have a good laugh while watching them trying to perfect their moves.

The ladies of Kara made a surprise visit during a contestant’s ‘Mister’ dance practice to personally coach them teach them the difficult ‘hip dance’. While doing this, they also shared their diet secrets and tips.

Member Nicole, who is known for having the strictest diet, revealed that her secret to keeping a slim body is Pilates, and demonstrated some key physical fitness moves.

Also, Goo Hara was asked about her well-known small waist size, she was not offended in the least. She casually laughed and agreed to having her waist measured on the spot. Her waistline measured an impressive 21 inches (which happens to be 2 inches bigger than her last measure), making the contestants envious.

She further bragged, “No matter what or how much I eat, I don’t gain weight.” Poor Hara…
